Are scores designated as "Competition" scores treated any differently?

A Competition, or “C” score designation does not affect how a score is used to calculate a Handicap Index®. It exists solely to help Committees identify whether a player performs better or worse in competitive rounds versus recreational rounds, which may be referenced during a handicap review.
