Do I need to insure my golf clubs?

Insurance for your golf clubs is not required; however, it is highly recommended.

  • Rental Clubs: If you prefer not to bring your own clubs, you can rent them from the pro shop at the Mayan Palace. 
  • Personal Clubs: If you do bring your own clubs, consider the following:
  • Risk of Damage or Loss: While the golf course itself doesn’t mandate insurance; accidents can happen. Clubs might get damaged during travel or while playing.
  • Travel Insurance: If you’re traveling to Rocky Point specifically for golf, it’s a good idea to check if your travel insurance covers your golf equipment. Some policies include coverage for personal belongings, including sports equipment.
  • Peace of Mind: If you’re particularly attached to your clubs or have high-end equipment, insuring them can provide peace of mind. It ensures that you’re financially protected in case of loss, theft, or damage.
