Does AZ GOLF offer seminars to learn the Rules of Golf and how would I get Rules of Golf certified?

Most Rules Officials begin their journey by attending a PGA/USGA® Rules of Golf Workshop and/or volunteering with their Allied Golf Association (AGA) or local PGA section. This is the recommended first step toward becoming a certified Rules of Golf Official in Arizona.
To join the Arizona Rules Committee (AZRC) or become a Rules of Golf Official, please email us. 
 
To become a certified Rules of Golf Official, you must pass the PGA/USGA® exam. Two exam formats are available: • 80-question exam: A score of 70 or higher earns "Advanced" certification. • 100-question exam: A score of 75–89 earns "Advanced" certification; a score of 90 or higher earns "Expert" certification. Certification is valid for four years, after which re-examination is required to maintain your status. Exam formats and passing scores are subject to change — verify current requirements via the USGA Rules Education page.
 
AZ GOLF offers six Rules of Golf seminars between November and March, open to the public. Additional seminars may be arranged by special request. For more information or to register, contact Senior Director of Championships Logan Rasmussen, for more information.
