Does AZ GOLF offer seminars to learn the Rules of Golf and how would I get Rules of Golf certified?
Most Rules Officials get started by attending a PGA/USGA® Rules of Golf Workshop and/or volunteering with their respective Allied Golf Association (AGA) or local PGA section.
If you wish to become part of the Arizona Rules Committee (AZRC) or become a Rules of Golf Official, please email us.
Please note: To become a Rules of Golf Official, you must take the PGA/USGA® exam to become certified. The 80-question exam requires a score of 70 or higher to become "Advanced" certified, and the 100-question exam requires a score of 75-89 to become "Advanced" certified or 90 and higher to become "Expert" certified. Exam scores are valid for four years.
AZ GOLF will offer 6 Rules seminars between November and March that will be open to the public. Other seminars may be possible by special request. Please contact our Senior Director of Championships, Logan Rasmussen, for more information.
