I made an error when posting my score, how do I correct it?
If you posted a score that contains an error, you may able to fix it yourself the same day. Common errors include posting the wrong values, posting for the wrong date, or posting to the wrong set of tees. Fixing the score requires you to delete the one that was posted, and to reenter a new score with the correct data.
HOW TO DELETE A SCORE
- If you just posted a score on GHIN.com or the GHIN App, you will see a notice that says "Made a scoring mistake? Delete round”. Click that and follow the prompts.
- If you realize the mistake after-the-fact, on GHIN.com or the GHIN App go to Stats > Score History > Recent & Revision scores and locate the score. Click the arrow ">" next to the score, then click "Made a scoring mistake? Delete round” and follow the prompts.
- You have until just before 12am on the day you post the score to delete it since score revisions run at midnight. The score will stay in your Recent Scores list until the revision processes.
- Here is a visual, step-by-step guide to the process.
You will not have access to change scores posted through Golf Genius, Club Administrators, or other APIs.
- For those scores, you will need to contact your Handicap Chair or Handicap Committee at your home club. They can make the necessary changes for you, even if the score is from a different course.
- If you don't know your Handicap Chair, visit our Club Directory, search and find your club, and use the "Fix a Score" option to get their contact information.
