How can I link my Arizona and Canadian WHS™ Accounts?

Do you host dual-WHS™ handicap roster affiliations, one based in Canada, the other in Arizona?

How do I link my AZ GOLF and Golf Canada handicap records?

You can link your AZ GOLF and Golf Canada handicap records by completing a four-step process that connects the two accounts in the background. Once linked, scoring detail and Handicap Index® assignments are shared automatically between both records, so you do not need to post scores to each system independently.

If so, there is an option available to establish a background link between them, which will mutually share all scoring detail and Handicap Index® assignments in parallel, eliminating the need to independently post scores to each.

Steps to establish the Canada-US handicap link

Complete all four of the following steps in order to establish the link between your AZ GOLF and Golf Canada records:

  • Step 1- Confirm that your AZ GOLF-based record is currently in Active status and retrieve your Handicap ID assignment, which will be needed for Step 2.
  • Step 2- Contact your Provincial Golf Association (Golf Canada) staff and provide them with your AZ GOLF-based Handicap ID, requesting that they add it as a Canada-US link. During the same contact, request your designated Network ID — an alternative 6-to-8 digit value used for linking purposes that may differ from your standard Golf Canada Member Number. Note: the link cannot be completed without this Network ID.
  • Step 4- Provide your Network ID — as confirmed by Golf Canada staff — to your AZ GOLF representative at kathy@azgolf.org or 602.872.7021, or to your Arizona-based golf club administrator. That ID will then be entered into your GHIN Handicap ID record to complete the two-way linking process.

After all of the above steps are accomplished, you should see your Canadian postings flow into your AZ GOLF record within a few days. Any new rounds posted to either record going forward will be mutually shared with the secondary account.
