Can I change golf clubs?

Yes. Members may join any club that meets their needs, provided they satisfy the membership criteria established by that club.


How do I change clubs partway through the year?

If you wish to change clubs partway through the year, you will need to join the new club and pay its applicable membership dues. Instructions on joining a club can be found in How do I join the AGA and get my Handicap Index?.

  • If you end up with multiple memberships and do not receive an automatic discount during checkout, you may apply for a multi-member rebate. 

How do I change clubs at the end of the club year?

To change clubs at the end of the club year, follow these steps:

  1. Notify your current club administrator that you will not be renewing your membership.
  2. Let your current membership lapse without renewing.
  3. Retain your existing GHIN® number so it carries over when you join your new club.
  4. Join your new club and pay its applicable membership dues. Instructions can be found in How do I join the AGA and get my Handicap Index?.
