How do I create a digital profile on GHIN?

To create a GHIN digital profile: visit ghin.com or the GHIN app, verify your identity with any two of three pieces of information (Last Name, GHIN Number, or Email Address), then follow the link in your email to set a password and accept the terms. You must have a valid email address on file with your club before you begin.

What do I need before I start?

You must have an email address on file with your GHIN account. If you are unsure whether your email is on file, contact your club administrator to confirm or update it before proceeding. The profile creation process sends a verification email to that address, so you must have one on file to complete setup.

Steps to create your digital profile

  1. Go to ghin.com or open the GHIN app and select the "Create Profile" button.
  2. Verify your identity by providing 2 of the following 3 pieces of information:
    • Last Name
    • GHIN Number
    • Email Address
  3. Check your email for a message containing a verification link and click it to go to ghin.com.
  4. Set and confirm your password, then accept the privacy policy and terms of service. (Ensure you meet the password requirements — typically a minimum length and mix of characters — before submitting.)
  5. Once you have accepted the terms, your GHIN digital profile is complete. You can now log in to ghin.com or the GHIN app to post scores, view your Handicap Index, and access your golf record.

    Note: If you do not receive the verification email, check your spam or junk folder. Contact your golf club administrator if your email address needs to be updated on your GHIN account. Note that the verification link in the email expires after a limited time — if it has expired, request a new one by restarting the profile creation process.
