What are the eligibility requirements for events?

Eligibility requirements vary by event — there is no single standard. Check each event's description page before registering to confirm you meet that event's specific criteria.

 

What types of eligibility restrictions exist?

Events that are not open to everyone may have age or Handicap Index® restrictions, and some are invitation only. Below is an example of what an eligibility requirement might look like.

  • Open to amateur golfers with a Handicap Index® of 10.0 or less
  • Final Championship field includes exempt players and qualifiers from 18-hole stroke play qualifying stages
  • All contestants must be members in good standing of an Arizona Golf Association Member Club
  • Contestants must be at least 25 years of age as of the event's designated qualifying date
