How often is a course rated?

USGA^® requires that every course is rated at a minimum of 10 years.

AZ GOLF rates most courses on an 8 year cycle and courses may also be re-rated when there are significant changes to the course that could affect its difficulty, such as renovations or redesigns.

However, after 10 years, a rating is expired and MUST not be used for posting to a scoring record.
