How to Sign Up for Volunteer Events
Accessing the Portal
- Go to azgolf.org, click on the Volunteer page, then select the Volunteer Portal. (Note: Do not click on Volunteer Application!)
- Login to view the Opportunities page, where eligible events are listed.
Understanding User Groups
- Volunteers belong to specific user groups (e.g., Course Rating, Rules Officials, Senior Rules Officials, Tournament Volunteers).
- Events shown depend on your group membership.
- You can check your group(s) in your profile under My User Groups.
Filtering and Viewing Events
- Filter options allow sorting by:
- User group
- Program (e.g., tournaments, social events, JGAA events)
- Calendar view, grid view, or map view (shows up to 50 opportunities at a time)
- Be sure to clear any filters if events aren’t displaying as expected.
Registering for Events
- Click View Details on an event to see specifics (date, shift times, contact info).
- Click Respond to sign up.
- Add any special notes (e.g., needing to leave early).
- Confirm participation and optionally add the event to your calendar.
Multi-Day Events
- For events spanning multiple days or shifts:
- You can select specific dates or choose “all shifts.”
- Submit your response to confirm.
Managing Your Responses
- Go to your Dashboard to view all events you’ve registered for.
- To cancel a shift:
- Click on the event, uncheck the shift(s), and re-submit your response.
- The shift will be removed from your calendar.
Other Notes
- You do not need to check in/out when you are at an event—volunteer managers will handle that.
